- I originally trained as a nurse. When I developed arthritis of the spine (Ankylosing Spondylitis) and found that conventional medicine could not help, I discovered the Alexander Technique as a way to successfully manage my own condition.
- I completed the S.T.A.T 3-year full-time training to become a teacher and have been a member of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique for 30 years.
- I have now been teaching for over 30 years, including teaching at Alexander Teacher Training School, BUPA Hospital Harpenden, (now Spire), Harpenden Further Education College as well as my own teaching practice in Hertfordshire.
